I would live in your love as the sea-grasses live in the sea,  Borne up by each wave as it passes, drawn down by each wave that recedes;  I would empty my soul of the dreams that have gathered in me,  I would beat with your heart as it beats, I would follow your soul as it leads. - Sara Teasdale 1884-1933

Back in England.
So I arrived back yesterday morning, a day late because my flight was cancelled. My body clock is all confused so Ive been awake since 5am this morning and realised it is now my favourite time of the day. It’s so quiet and dark and peaceful. I’ve been scanning in all of film photographs this morning. Taking absolutely forever.  Sad I’m not in Cambodia anymore. I would do anything...

Last day - Day 54 - Phnom Penh
So, I’m leaving Cambodia back to London, with a 9 hour stop in Hong Kong , in an hour and a half. Had a great night last night with dinner and going out with all the friends I’ve made out here. Really sad I have to go but I’m sure I will be back. Many photos to be scanned in when I go back home so watch this space. Not going to write much more because I’m sad I am leaving....

Day 53 - back in Phnom Penh
So, not many photographs I’ve been posting I know, but I have rolls and rolls of film to be scanned in when I arrive back in England. This is my last night in Cambodia. Since I last wrote on day 44, I have been pottering about in the capital, then eventually headed down to the coast to stay at my friends new guesthouse on Otres beach. So glad I got down there, needed some well deserved sea,...

Day 44 - phnom penh
So I’ve been lacking with photo posts. I got 100+ film photos developed yesterday, might see if I can get them scanned somewhere around here but there are a lot of photos to come. So I have 9 days left to chill out / do my own work. I might leave the Penh soon though for the coast be because who wouldn’t want some beach for their last few days away? It’s also my friends opening...

Day 41 - Phnom Penh office
So this is it, my last official day finishes in 20 minutes. I’m quite sad because I’ll be leaving a fantastic team and I’ve really enjoyed my work. It is a shame I can’t stay for the extra month I was planning on, but I have plans to be back in Cambodia in August and September. So who knows what will happen. I will still do work back at home for Khmer Silk Villages and help...

Day 40 - Phnom Penh
So, it looks like I am back for Christmas like originally planned. I was going to stay out until mid January, but the flight change is just too expensive. Really sad because I have made a great lot of beautiful friends out here and I love Cambodia and my work. Going to have to just carry it on from the UK.  Sorry, no nice posts today. Bad mood now. Peace

Just a thought
I had to write this. I bet any of you who have ever written your thesis/dissertation have never done it like i have today (I wrote this last week whilst out in the rural districts). Visiting a village to give a mulberry farmer some new cuttings, I realised I was surrounded within 5 minutes of about 25 villagers who have never seen a white person, or ‘barang” before in their life. It...

Day 38 - Phnom Penh
Just sat in the office. I have so much to tell but I keep going away and forgetting what to type when I get back . Since I last spoke , I have been back down to Otres beach just off Sihanoukville along the coast with friends and my sister to take a relaxing weekend after a hectic, rural week . Everyone down there is doing great and the new guesthouses they are all building look amazing so I will...
