So I’ve been lacking with photo posts. I got 100+ film photos developed yesterday, might see if I can get them scanned somewhere around here but there are a lot of photos to come. So I have 9 days left to chill out / do my own work. I might leave the Penh soon though for the coast be because who wouldn’t want some beach for their last few days away? It’s also my friends opening on Thursday for their new guesthouse on Otres beach so I’m going to try make it down for that. Pretty much all my friends here in the capital work in the week so it may have to be a lonesome trip down, but I have people I know down there I know so not all is lonesome. England in 9 days. Wow.

Day 4 Phnom Penh

Ok so today I took it easy. I ‘accidentally stumbled’ across a pool, and with temperatures nearly hitting the 40’s, who wouldn’t. I started reading up on my new interest of the import/export international trade. This could be a potential career path, looks so interesting. But, I have to get myself in gear and in 2 days I am off to Siem Reap (where Angkor Wat is located) to stay for several nights and travel out to the near (and not so near) silk farms. I havent got my camera out yet really so I apologise for no pictures being uploaded. It’s starting to look a bit bare and sad looking on here. But have no fear! I have been using my film camera too but it obviously will take time to print and scan in to upload onto here. We celebrated halloween here last night. So surreal being dresses up to the max, sweating it out on a rooftop guesthouse bar in the middle of Asia rather than chilly old England.
Meeting the boss on Tuesday to discuss what role I will be playing whilst working with Khmer Silk Villages in mid November. Very excited to start there, a huge amount of photos and filming will be going up then. But, before I do that, its Siem Reap on a one-woman mission, then some relaxing at the second love of my life (sorry Alex) of Otres beach. Those who have never heard of or been to Otres on the coast of Cambodia. You are absolutely missing out.
